Our Beliefs


Sunterra Outdoor Pro Series and the Peg Leg Porker World Champion BBQ Pitmaster Carey Bringle share the same belief that everything we do is about family and friends. Resulting of Carey buying one of our Santa Maria grills for his “Peg Leg Porker Loft.”

The space is set to house some of the nation’s top-shelf chefs who will offer cooking classes and special invite dinners and host visiting musicians in Music City. The quality of our Santa Maria system was highly embraced and the invitation was made for Sunterra Outdoor Pro Series to manufacture and distribute Carey’s smoker.

The Peg Leg Porker BMF 200 was developed over many years of trial and error. The first version was 2 ft taller than the current model. Designed by Carey Bringle, it was originally built by many of the Peg Leg Porker Team members in Carey's Driveway.

Steve Dresch was the team's firebox man and is a master welder. Together with a few engineers on the team, they all worked on the original model and then a shorter version after that. It was a labor of love. Carey was obsessed with firebox efficiency, Dresch was a welder, Dudney and Garland were engineers, Patrick, Dave and Shane were always there to help with anything we needed.

Our BMF Smoker Product Line

The BMF 200 is a wood/charcoal fired vertical smoker with one of the longest burn rates in the smoker business. Powered by a PID temperature controller, this smoker can be loaded, set and walk away for long periods of time. It has a full water pan that allows you to have even more control of the environment inside the cooker.

This cooker is a beast. It is not a play toy, weighing in at 1600 lbs; you know that the BMF 200 is meant to last. This cooker is a triple walled, insulated, BBQ cooking machine for the pit master that is serious about BBQ.

The Peg Leg Porker Story

The current model is the product of many previous builds and it is a design that we think is one of the most efficient cooking machines out there. With the right charcoal, it has achieved a 13 hr burn without being touched. That is with one 20 lb bag of charcoal and two sticks of hickory. (we recommend an all natural charcoal that has been pressed into a briquette like a B&B, Chef Select from Royal Oak or Kingsford Professional)

The BMF 200 will hold two 160 lb hogs or around 50 butts, depending on size. It can be used with or without water in the pan. Weighing in at 1900lbs, this smoker is no toy. It is made to withstand travel and the harsh conditions that smokers endure.

The nice thing about the BMF 200 is that it handles most of the heavy lifting. Fill the firebox, light the corner, set the temp and let it go to work. The PID controller and draft fan will regulate the temperature to your set point. If the temp starts to drop, the fan will kick in and feed more oxygen to the fire chamber. It is an ALL wood and Charcoal smoker with a temperature control unit.
